HUSSAIN AL SADAH & SAHAR OMAIR
A self-taught couple who creates unique art pieces using computer algorithms and everyday objects, including those that are often overlooked or deemed “imperfect.” With Sahar’s skill of sketching and conceptualizing and Hussain’s eye for discovering material potential and his ability to implement various techniques in an unorthodox way, they complement each other creatively The couple spends hours diligently applying creativity to objects like pushpins, nail beads, Post-it notes, or even filling the bubbles in bubble wrap. Each piece incorporates anywhere from 10,000 to 70,000 of these objects. At their studio, they place a strong emphasis on sustainability and zero-waste practices. Hussain & Sahar strive to use sustainable materials as much as possible in their art pieces, and they are always exploring new ways to improve their practices. Their aim is to turn their studio practice into 100% eco-friendly in the near future.
