Dana Al-Turki is an accomplished artist and translator, born in Riyadh in 1985. She puts her passion for art into practice through many diverse disciplines, including the manipulation of materials to shape and bend them. Repetition, layering, and color reflection – are all techniques that she applies to her work. Her prints often draw on history, culture and spirituality as they capture memories with the beauty of form and substance. Drawing on Hadiths and poems gives her works an extra subtlety that perfectly marries ideas with the matter mostly from recycled items.
